Hubby really wanted to see the Grand Canyon so the ever obliging wife found a helicopter tour coupon from travelzoo.com so we got approx $100 for a helicopter flight with Papillion. Yay!

IMG_7263(8) [640x480]The Grand Canyon helicopter tour was worth the money and the 6am morning call. We somehow got asked to sit in the front of the helicopter so we had an uninterrupted view. The Grand Canyon really put things into perspective, not to mention it was beautiful. We truly believed that the best way to see the canyon because you can see everything from above.

After Grand Canyon tour we went nuts in the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets, where we shopped up a storm. With no time to eat, we snacked on Aunty Anne’s pretzel dogs, which is a sausage wrapped in pretzel. It actually tasted like the “Western” sausage buns we have in Hong Kong, the shape was just slightly thinner. I have never had American pretzels before but this one tasted just like bread to me.

IMG_7296 [640x480]Anyway, 5 pairs of shoes, 2 handbags, 4 ties, 3 scarfs, 5 or 6 dresses, 4 pairs of jeans and countless sportswear and tshirts, one new big shiny Samsonite suitcase and one stopped visa card later (yes, my credit card company thought someone is making fraudulent transactions!), we staggered out of the outlets. Yes, our credit cards got a huge workout but it’s chiconomics right? You need to spend money to save money. ;)
