We went to Shatin to visit K and her gorgeous family today and they took us to lunch at the Japanese restaurant in Royal Park Hotel near Shatin New Town Plaza.

For HKD$228 (AUD$32) per person, you get a Teppanyaki “semi” buffet.  What does a semi buffet mean?  Well my dear readers, that means you can sit down and order unlimited small teppanyaki plates that is cooked at the time of ordering as well as a All-you-can-eat spread with sashimi, sushi, cold noodles and dessert.

Whilst the sushi and sashimi wasn’t super duper fresh top notch stuff that you can get, it is very good quality for the price and quantity.

The freshly made dishes was quite good too, but only if you super love Teppanyaki!  Their Teppanyaki Semi Buffet consists of Teppanyaki US Angus Beef steak, Teppanyaki Duck, Teppanyaki fish, Teppanyaki fried rice and Teppanyaki fried udon XD…  I was a bit Teppanyaki’d out after a few of this and they all started to taste the same.

I was so Teppanyaki’d out that the cold noodles served as a great palate cleanser to the oily stuff.

There are also desserts but by the time we got to it it doesn’t look too pretty so I didn’t take a photo- but they have really yummy jelly and Japanese style cheesecake that I kept on eating 😀

Overall, not bad for a AUD $32 meal- 7/10
