photo 1 [640x480]I have been warned about Touché Hombre- its not as good as Mamasita, they said.  But one lunch time while walking past Touché we decided to check it out anyway so I can be the judge.
photo 2 [640x480]The space is certainly grungey cool, dark with a wall of graffiti words on one wall, pictures of skulls and neon lights on another.  The service is certainly very friendly, but somewhat sloppy (the waiter sloshed our lemonade all over the floor).
photo 4 [640x480]We started off with the grilled corn and yes, it’s not as good as Mamasita.  There just wasn’t enough sauce and cheese on this one  so it was quite dry.
photo 2 (2) [640x480]We ordered three kinds of toastsdillas: Morton bay bug, Soft shell crab and slow cooked lamb.
Once again I found the lack of sauce a sad thing because whilst the bug was cooked well, it was quite flavourless.  Didn’t help that the floury flavour of the toastsdillas overpowered the dish.
photo 3 (2) [640x480]The soft shell crab has the same problem and it was very oily.which was disappointing,  hubby had all the lamb and he seemed to think it was not too bad though.
photo 4 (2) [640x480]We persevered with dessert because something caught my eyes: yes it’s PEANUT BUTTTERRRRR.  Touché has this chocolate chilli biscuit thing with peanut butter mousse in between.  Oh my.  I can’t believe I had to share one with hubby.
While we both could not taste the chilli in the chocolate, it doesn’t matter: this is certainly the dish of the day.
photo 3 [640x480]Touché has a lot to improve, but I will certainly going back for the dessert!  6/10
