photo 1 [800x600]I love it when my friends take me to some awesome places like this.  Hong Kong style cafe, cha chang teng has always been popular with the Canotonese post World War II.  This particular cha chang teng replicates I think it’s the 60s 70s vibe, and the owner even have little toys from that era for little kids.  Whilst this place may not be baby friendly as such (most Hong Kong eateries are so tiny), it’s certainly kids friendly.  The waiters love chatting with the kids and are super friendly.

photo 2 [800x600]Being in a slightly quieter street of Causeway Bay but amoungst the high class boutiques like Vivienne Westwoods, Agnes B and I.T., the prices are still extremely reasonable.  I had the “Spaghetti Bolognese” with a fried egg on top HK$52 (AUD$7.5) – OK so the pasta is not al dente and all, but the prices are reasonable and it was tasty.

photo 3 [800x600]Whilst eating I spotted egg tarts!  I haven’t eaten egg tarts this trip and I couldn’t help ordering it.  Did you know there are two types of egg tarts?  One with flakey pastry and one with short crust pastry!  This is the type with short crust pastry and it was hot and buttery.  It’s not the best best best egg tart but it was still deeeeelicious!

I wanted to go back to The Match Box before we leave but sadly I ran out of time :(  That’s OK though- I will be spending about 3 months in Hong Kong soon- I am sure I will be back :D  8/10
